		<description>"Discovered"?

Westerners used to describe the arrival of the whites to foreign places using the word "discovery." Clearly this is a one-sided way of viewing an historical event that's no longer acceptable to the objective viewer.

Indeed, this onerous viewpoint has occasioned a "counter appropriation" where the other side is now claiming it is they who discovered the Western or white interloper.

Most historians now refrain from using the ethnocentric orientation of the word "discovery."

Thus, the historical moment of March 16, 1521 is viewed from such terms as "arrival" or "coming" or "reaching."

It does seem strange for "natives" to describe themselves as having been discovered when the truth and reality of the situation is they were never lost in the first place.

<description>Dear Ms Luvi Marie Corcuera, The Editor World Medical Guide com. Your article, December 16, 2007 Baha Hearing Aid: The Most Comfortable Type of Hearing Aid has been bought to my attention and I am alarmed to say the least at the inconstincies throughout this article. I am a Baha recipient, presenter and volunteer for Cochlear Limited who own the Baha system. I hope that you can visit www.c-a-network.com and read my page on Baha Referral Guidelines and 'my story' and seriously edit the information, which is very misleading, on the abovementioned World Medical Guide.com. I have forwarded your article to Cochlear Limited in Lane Cove Australia for their information. Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss 'correct' information relating to the Baha and I hope to hear from you in the very near future. Wendy Jansz</description>
